Stephen A. Laser, Managing Director, has over 30 years of experience in working with business and industry. His interests center on identifying talent for sales and management roles. He holds a Ph.D. in industrial/ organizational psychology from the University of Tennessee, and he is a graduate of the Management Institute affiliated Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Joseph W. Banasiak
Joseph W. Banasiak, M.A., received graduate training in clinical psychology at Illinois State University, The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. He has over 30 years of experience in evaluating and assessing individuals in several clinical and job-related venues. Since 1997, he has been performing pre-employment and promotional assessments for police, fire, telecommunications, and command-level personnel at Stephen A. Laser Associates.
John Skinner
John F. Skinner, M.S., is a doctoral candidate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where he also completed his master's degree in the same field. Mr. Skinner joined Stephen A. Laser Associates in 2008, and he conducts pre-employment public safety and corporate assessments for the firm. He also assists the firm in research and development efforts. Additionally, Mr. Skinner has taught college-level courses in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
Kathy Kurnyta
Kathy Kurnyta, M.A., obtained her master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Ms. Kurnyta joined the firm in 2006, and she conducts pre-employment public safety assessments for the firm. She is responsible for administering, scoring, and reporting the firm's simulation tests. She also assists with the firm's research and development efforts.
